Not only did Minecraft Steve break Twitter this week, but we got some news on the Pokemon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra DLC. While it's not a lot of news, the fact remains that news is still news. Not only do we have the conclusion of the TCG Players Cup resulting in a true Mirror match between Zacian/Lucario & Melmetal but we also have some exclusive event coverage of a Grassroots Event just for the Seniors Division!
The VGC Seniors Invitational was started by a group of seniors division VGC Players and invited some of the best players in the division from all over the world in an intense Series 5 Tournament. Go check it out!

We had an amazing time checking out the Pokken Tournament DX Player's Cup Finals featuring the top 8 players from this massive extended tournament. Zac and Dozer don't get too much of an opportunity to brush up on their Pokken knowledge, but they give it their best shot and have a really good time doing so. We've also got a preview for the Video Game Championships going over some of the teams that made it to the Top 16 finals as well.

Lot of stuff has happened, but yet nothing much has happened. Zac and Dozer go over the Pokemon Player's Cup Week 2 Usage Results for the Video Game Championships (VGC) and the Trading Card Game. We also look at what new decks will be in the upcoming TCG format with Darkness Ablaze dropping. And finally, TPCi decided to launch the Play Pokemon Podcast, and that's got our hosts feeling very excited, if not a little uneasy. Both of our hosts are upset about something that's arguably trivial. Our first topic is about how double elimination sucks, in genera, but why it's especially unfortunate for a #PlayPokemon events like the Player's Cup. Also, Zac is upset about how some unprecedented card bans were handled by The Pokemon Company International and how that might be a move to push some new product.

While the Player's Cup has narrowed down to the Top 4 players in each region, Zac and Dozer have not had the ability to talk about it. So here we go. We're going over the Player's Cup power Rankings, One of which totally wasn't just a way to try to sell Isle of Armor. But we also have Week 1 usage data that RK9 Labs has collected from the Players Cup. There's also a new TCG Set coming out that we get to talk about in Darkness Ablaze.

Zac and Dozer finally get a chance to sit down and talk about the decks and teams that were used in the Players Cup. In the Trading Card Game side of things, we saw a distinct lack of ADP as Blacephalon, Pikarom, and Dragapult VMAX were the big heroes of the event. Over on the Video Game Championships side, we reminised about the Series 4 Metagame, and saw Yuri sweep through the event on the backs of a Rillaboom-Cinderace-Primarina FWG core. This is the first time that Grassy Surge Rillaboom and Libero Cinderace got to flex their stuff.
